About

PUSH Buffalo diligently worked with NYSERDA, the Center for Working Families and dozens of other stakeholders to design the Green Jobs – Green New York (GJGNY) Blueprint [PDF] and legislation.

GJGNY provides New Yorkers with access to energy audits, installation services and low-cost financing. GJGNY will deliver these services in targeted communities with the support of constituency based organizations, like PUSH Buffalo, who will recruit residential, small businesses, non-profits, and multifamily building owners into energy assessment and financing programs.

PUSH Buffalo’s community-based energy efficiency initiative, PUSH Green, implement the GJGNY program in Western New York. To help the State reach their energy efficiency goals, PUSH Green will work as an independent outreach contractor for NYSERDA to create living-wage jobs for Erie County homeowners while helping them to reduce their energy bills.
