How much energy is your state using?

New York State is consuming how much energy?!?

We are all freaking out over how much energy we use. Terms like “carbon footprint,” “global warming” and “energy reduction,” have been used for years, decades even, and we are just getting to a point where we understand what this all truly means.

In 2009, the Department of Energy decided to rank our states in order of energy consumption. They looked at our energy usage at home, at work and on the road. Take a long look at the state-by-state data below – you won’t be disappointed.

In order for the United States to create more sustainable communities, we all – say it with me, all – need to reduce our energy consumption. While New York has a ranking of 51, we have still have a long, long way to go.
For us, at PUSH Green, it’s the definition of survival. The need to live (and create) more sustainable communities is something that we fight for daily. What about you?
