What is the REV? And why should you care?

What is the REV? And why should you care?

What is the REV? Here's the punchline:

REV is short for Reforming the Energy Vision, an ambitious process that began in 2014, formed to fight climate change by moving New York State away from fossil fuels and towards renewable, sustainable, affordable and efficient ways of generating power, like wind and solar. The Public Service Commission (PSC) is the state body who has the authority to ensure that our power and energy producing utilities comply with regulations and policies that will achieve our climate goals, while giving New Yorkers of all income levels access to renewables like shared solar.

It is more important than ever for all of us who are committed to fighting climate change to come together and influence the REV so that it prioritizes people and planet over profits. For more information and ways to get involved, visit the New York Public Interest Research Group's website here

The PSC is always reaching out for input from the community on issues relating to energy and power production. The most recent calendar of public hearings can be found here. Make sure your voice is heard!
